On a very blustery day at Aylesford Priory, over 100 people braved the elements to celebrate the Little Flower's Feast Day.  All the services took place outside in the main shrine so that all who attended could be safely socially distanced.

Fr Francis Kemsley, O.Carm., gave a talk at the Welcome Service after blessing the banner made from petitions sent in by members.  For safety reasons (the wind took a fancy to the banner!), we had to have it against the back wall of the main shrine but the banner was up all day for people to view.  We prayed for all members of the Society and all their families and friends, together with all those affected and touched by Coronavirus.

After lunch, the roses purchased from the Society. together with roses the attendees had brought with them, were blessed around the statue of St Therese in the garden alongside the Rosary Way.
This as followed by Mass were Fr Francis officiated, and Fr Kevin Alban, O. Carm, Prior Provincial and Chair of Trustees of the Society of the Little Flower gave the homily.

Ladies from the Little Flower Society (who have loyally supported us on past Feast Days) were not able to attend in number this year but they were represented by 5 of their number including their President.  One of them, Patricia Aning (first on the left), read for us during Mass.  We missed their wonderful offertory procession and singing.

We look forward to 2021.
